Cooling Mat, Medium 50 × 40 cm | The Hot Day Wind-Down

Water play winds them up. This is where they wind down. After a splash, a walk or a round of zoomies, the Cooling Mat gives your dog a set spot to flop, stretch out and settle.

It's a pressure-activated gel pad, so there's no fridge, no power and no water involved. Lay it in the shade, let them lie on it, and let the afternoon slow down.

Medium is 50 × 40 cm. Best for small dogs, puppies and cats who curl up to rest. If your dog likes to sprawl, have a look at the XL (90 × 50 cm).

Measure your dog first

1. Wait until they're lying down the way they usually rest.
2. Measure from their chest to the base of their tail.
3. Add about 10 cm so there's room to shift. If that's more than 50 cm, go for the XL.

How to use it

1. Unfold it flat in a shady spot, indoors or out. Keep it out of direct sun.
2. Pop a favourite toy or a lick mat beside it so it becomes their place to settle.
3. Let them choose it. Some dogs need a day or two to trust something new.
4. Wipe it down after use and fold it away when the weather turns.

Honest care

• Supervise use, especially at first.
• Not a chew toy. Claws and teeth can puncture it. It's not the pick for dedicated chewers or diggers.
• Check it before each use. If it's punctured, split or leaking, take it away and stop using it.
• If your dog swallows any gel or cover material, call your vet.
• A cooling mat is a comfortable place to rest. It's not a substitute for shade, fresh water and skipping the hottest part of the day.

FAQ

Does it need the fridge or power? No. It's a pressure-activated gel pad, so it's ready when they lie on it.

Will it stop my dog overheating? No mat can promise that. It gives them a comfortable spot to rest. On hot days, keep play short, offer shade and fresh water, and keep them inside during the worst of the heat.

Is it chew-proof? No. If your dog chews bedding, choose a different rest spot for them and keep this one for supervised use.

Medium or XL? Use the measuring tip above. Curlers and small dogs suit Medium. Stretch-out sleepers and bigger dogs suit XL.
